贵州卫视建台于1968年。1998年,贵州卫视面对严峻的竞争形势,提出“以节目为本,靠改革发展”的工作思路和实现跨越式发展的奋斗目标,率先在全国同行业中实行全员聘用制和干部竞聘上岗。并以此为突破口,拉开了财务制度、节目生产制度、广告经营制度改革的序幕。经过不断努力,取得了显著的成效,初步形成了符合电视业发展要求,适合台情实际的内部运行新机制。
